2020 1 oz Silver Proof Chinese New Year
This stunning, colorized 2020 1 oz Silver Chinese New Year coin is produced by Australia Perth Mint for Tuvalu. This has developed into an annual release offered by Tuvalu, featuring a different festive dragon scene in celebration of the Chinese New Year.
For 2020, we have a finely colorized young, somewhat playful dragon representation, standing on a pile of Chinese “good-luck” coins. The background displays Chinese lanterns hanging from a flowering tree branch. Also, four small medallions at the left rim include the Chinese characters for “Happy New Year.” The Perth Mint “P” mintmark is at the right rim. This is a delightful Chinese New Year dragon presentation that young and old alike will greatly enjoy.
As a legal tender release by Tuvalu, the obverse displays the Ian Rank-Broadley effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. Inscriptions encircling the rim include, “Queen Elizabeth II . 1 oz 9999 Ag . 2020 . TUVALU . 1 DOLLAR.”
