On the obverse side of the Perth coin is the Jody Clark effigy of Queen Elizabeth II with the inscriptions "ELIZABETH II . AUSTRALIA . 25 CENTS . 1/4 oz 9999 Ag."

The reverse, as described by the mint, "depicts a she-tiger with its cub in full color while a rocky terrain featuring ferns and bamboo can be seen in the background. Above the tiger is the Chinese symbol for "Tiger." The warm color is the perfect match to the coin's Brilliant Uncirculated (BU) finish that’s as sharp and crisp as the day it left the mint. You can even see the iconic P mint mark just to the right of the mother Tiger.
