From the mint: "Grogu is a baby or toddler from the same alien species as Yoda, as is evident by his appearance. The remnants of the Galactic Empire are no doubt seeking him out due to the fact that he has the power of the Force. Din Djarin, the Mandalorian bounty hunter, accepts the bounty to capture him, but has a change of heart after turning him over and rescues the child before going on the run."

As a legal tender offering of Niue, the obverse displays the Ian Rank-Broadley distinctive portrait of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. Inscriptions include, "ELIZABETH II . NIUE . TWO DOLLARS . 2022 . 1 oz 999 Fine Silver" and the Lucasfilm Ltd. copyright and trademark symbols.

The reverse features Grogu, who is often referred to as Baby Yoda in popular culture. As introduced by the New Zealand Mint:

"Grogu is shown in the reverse design of 2022 Colorized Niue Grogu Pod Silver Coins. This depiction shows a colorized image of Grogu as he peeks out of a pod. He is wearing a brown, fabric robe with dark, black eyes and green skin."

The coin comes in a mint-issued display case. The coin and case arrive inside a themed shipper with a clear viewing window displaying the reverse face of the coin. The Certificate of Authenticity and serial number are printed on the box.
