As a legal tender offering by Republique Du Tchad, the obverse displays the Coat of Arms Du Tchad at the top rim. The stamp of the legendary Heirloom Seal of the Realm fills the center field. This Seal is "an unparalleled sign of ultimate authority and power." The translation reads, "With the Mandate from Heaven, may the Emperor lead a long and prosperous life." The crimson red color is said to demand authority and respect. Inscriptions encircling the rim include, "REPUBLIQUE DU TCHAD . 2021 . 10000 FRANCS CFA."

The scene depicts Zhao Yun in full battle armor astride a magnificent steed. He faces a hoard of armed warriors intent on killing Zhao Yun and the valuable package he is protecting. The General brandishes a sword in his right hand and a long spear in his left. Both weapons are gold-gilded.

Folk Legend

According to Chinese folk legend, Zhao Yun also bears a sling at his chest containing the infant son of Liu Bei - Liu Shan, to protect him from harm. The sling also is gold-gilded. This is an incredibly detailed design that captures the intensity of the legendary bravery displayed by Zhao Yun during this decisive historic battle.

The production of this magnificent 2021 Chad Zhao Yun - Battle of Changban 2oz Silver Antiqued HR coin has been made possible only through a new minting technique known as Bi-Metal-Plus. The process begins with an 11.5 oz copper core within two layers of 999 fine silver. This results in a large 80mm diameter, double that of a normal collectible bullion coin. The 11.5 oz copper core adds tremendous bulk and weight without the extra cost of an equivalent amount of silver weight. This also allows for the super ultra-high relief strike that brings alive the coin's incredibly detailed design.
