With this latest release struck for the Central African country, the Republic of Cameroon, Scottsdale Mint once again pays tribute to the fastest animal on land: the cheetah. Often considered "Africa in Miniature," Cameroon's highly diverse culture, ethnic groups, climate types, and natural resources reflect in miniature the African continent.

The coin's obverse design displays the distinctive Republic of Cameroon Coat of Arms largely filling the center field. Inscriptions include "REPUBLIQUE DU CAMEROUN" encircling the rim at the top and "1000 FRANCS CFA" at the bottom. Below the coat of arms are "REPUBLIC OF CAMEROON" and "REPUBLIQUE DU CAMEROUN."

The reverse features the world's fastest land animal surrounded not by its natural habitat but instead placed on a hill, sitting proudly and overlooking its territory. The sun's rays extend outward from behind the hill. Positioned at the left mid-point within the rim band are the inscriptions "1/10 TROY OZ .9999 GOLD." Also inscribed is "2022 CHEETAH."
