The newest release in "The Witcher: The Fire Baptism" series is this gorgeous 2 oz silver coin. The coin features an antiqued finish, a horseshoe-shaped copper insert, and a high relief design. The 62.2 grams of fine silver are used to mint the Baptism of Fire coin. On the reverse is an important scene from the same-titled book by Andrzej Sapkowski.

A hermit who incited the local peasants against a poor girl accused of witchcraft is depicted on the left side of the reverse. The White Wolf and his companions, the archer Milva and the higher vampire Regis, who were positioned in the middle of the coin, stood in defense of the girl. The hermit summoned them to a fire trial, declaring that only a pure-hearted person could remove the scorching horseshoe with his bare hand. Regis surprised everyone by pulling the horseshoe out of the fire. At that point, a Nilfgaard plunger attacked the camp, scattering the entire company.

Because of the high relief, every detail on the reverse is shown remarkably, and the entire piece has a vivid appearance similar to the world described in Sapkowski's book. Attention is also drawn to a few additions like gold and copper. Milva's arrow is covered by an addition on the back in the shape of selective gold. The copper insert that mimics a horseshoe is another intriguing feature of the design. The inserts might be different from the one in the photo.
