Powerfully Transformed

The original release of the 2021 Great Britain Myths & Legends Robin Hood 1oz Silver is an incredibly stunning coin. Setting this coin ablaze required an amazing transformation process that began with applying the transitional rare metal, black ruthenium to the surface of the entire coin. This created the dark rich background that allowed the intricately clad 24-carat gold to appear to burst into flames around the featured image of Robin Hood. The results are truly outstanding! The inscriptions encircling the rim are also clad in gold, adding a fine touch to the overall effect.

The obverse displays the stunning effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, produced by Jody Clark. Inscriptions include, "ELIZABETH II . D. G. REG. F. D." and the 2 pounds face value. It is quite remarkable how richly a transformation resulted by the application of rare back ruthenium to the entire obverse surface.
