BOLD is delighted to present the 2024 1 oz British Tudor Beasts: Dragon Gold Coin minted in 1 troy ounce of .9999 fine gold and with brilliant uncirculated condition. This Dragon gold coin is the fifth release of the Royal Tudor beast series and is available in other weight categories, including platinum and silver.
The obverse side of the gold coin bears the detailed and newly introduced effigy of King Charles III designed by Martin Jennings. The King is depicted in a side profile with intricately detailed facial features. The inscriptions surrounding the effigy depict the King’s title and face value as “CHARLES III. D. G. REX. F. D. 100 POUNDS”.
The reverse of the 2024 1 oz British Tudor Beasts: Dragon Gold Coin features the mythical and historical Tudor Dragon, also known as the Welsh Dragon. This design by David Lawrence is inspired by the actual stone beasts along the Moat Bridge in the Hampton Court Palace. The backdrop includes a surface animation background texture that adds to the security of the coin. The dragon is encircled by the inscriptions, “TUDOR DRAGON. 1 oz. FINE GOLD. 999.9. 2024.” depicting the purity, weight, and year of issue.
