Martin Jennings' recently created portrait of King Charles III is featured on the obverse side of the silver coin. The coin's splendour is enhanced by the intricate left-profile portrait, along with the King's title and face value as, "CHARLES III. D. G. REX. F. D. 5 POUNDS."
The Welsh Dragon, or Tudor Dragon, was created by David Lawrence and displayed on the reverse of the 2024 2 oz British Tudor Beasts: Dragon Silver Coin. The design is inspired by the stone beasts on the Moat Bridge of Hampton Court Palace. Around the dragon were the words, "TUDOR DRAGON. 2 oz. FINE SILVER. 999.9. 2024."
The Tudor Dragon is the symbolism of Heraldy and the heritage of the Tudor Dynasty. The dragon’s reign began with Owen Tudor, Henry VIII’s great-grandfather, who adopted the Dragon to honor his ancestry. The Dragon at the Hampton Court Palace is depicted grasping the political and historical power shield with the Beaufort Badge. This badge is included to symbolize the Tudor Family to Margaret Beaufort, the mother of Henry VII.
