The 2025 1 oz British Britannia Platinum Coin showcases the portrait of King Charles III on its obverse side, a design that was introduced in 2023 following the death of Queen Elizabeth II in 2022. Sculpted by Martin Jennings, the image captures the King in formal wear, adorned with a suit and tie, along with a friendly expression. Inscribed around the edge of the coin are the words "CHARLES III. D. G. REX. F. D. 100 POUNDS," which denote the King’s title and the coin's value.
The reverse image is from Philip Nathan, who depicts the female form of Great Britain, called Britannia. The artist designed her to hold an olive branch in one hand while holding a trident and shield; this suggests that she is prepared to defend Britain's shores should the situation require it while wishing for peace. Surrounding the image of Britannia are inscriptions: "BRITANNIA. 2025. 1 oz. 999.5. PLATINUM.".
