The America the Beautiful (ATB) silver bullion coin series began in 2010, releasing 5 new coins each year. The series will run until at least 2021. The design duplicates exactly (though enlarged) each of the America the Beautiful Quarters. Each coin contains five troy ounce of .999 fine silver. This makes them the largest silver bullion coins ever issued by the United States Mint.
This series is highly prized by collectors and investors for the coin's unique size and weight, and striking designs. They are also much more than beautiful, investment bullion grade collectable coins. Each of the sites represented are true National treasures, having deep historical, cultural or natural significance.
This BOLD Set includes one coin each of the releases shown below.
- 2014 Silver 5 oz ATB Everglades Florida
- 2014 Silver 5 oz ATB Great Sand Dunes Colorado
- 2014 Silver 5 oz ATB Arches Utah
- 2014 Silver 5 oz ATB Shenandoah Virginia

The amazing bird population in the Everglades inspired the reverse design. Featured is an anhinga with outstretched wings on a willow tree with a roseate spoonbill visible in the mid-ground. Everglades National Park currently encompasses 1.5 million acres of wetland. This includes nine distinct natural habitats, which support a vast diversity of plant and animal species, some unique to the area. The importance of Everglades National Park to the protection and maintenance of this vital ecosystem cannot be overestimated. This ATB coin design commemorates Everglades for their commitment.
With towering snow-capped mountains forming the backdrop, this beautifully designed ATB coin features the tallest sand dunes in North America. A father and son are pictured, digging in the sand on the banks of Medano Creek. Great Sand Dunes National Park has a very diverse terrain, which includes lakes, wetlands, forests, and grasslands.
The reverse design pictures Delicate Arch, a 65-foot freestanding natural sandstone arch. It is a widely recognizable landmark in Utah and the most famous arch found in the park. The La Sal Mountains are visible in the background. Arches National Park is a very popular destination, drawing nearly 1.6 million visitors annually. This ATB coin design captures amazing detail of the etched surface of this iconic, weatherworn arch.
With 200,000 acres of protected land, Shenandoah National Park is a wonderland of beauty. With spectacular waterfalls, wide panoramic expanses of lush wooded areas, and great hiking trails, this is just what you need to get refreshed. Capturing the sense of this special place, this ATB coin pictures a lone day-hiker standing upon Little Stony Man summit, fully enveloped by the breathtaking view.
The reverse side depicts an iconic setting featuring a historic, hand-hewn log cabin nestled deep within the forest. This scene is a remnant drawn from the rich Southern Appalachian mountain culture. Great Smoky Mountains National Park actively works to preserve this culture by its protection of such sites and artifacts. This ATB coin honors the rich history and culture of the Great Smoky Mountains. It also honors the National Park established to protect the great diversity of its natural beauty.
