The Brave & Confident Tiger

The Tiger is the third animal of the Chinese Zodiac and is considered to be very strong, brave and confident (sometimes, to a fault). Those born under the sign of the Chinese lunar Tiger in 2022, 2010, 1998, 1986, 1974, 1962 and every 12th preceding year, are said to be influenced by both the strengths and weaknesses attributed to the tiger in the wild.

As a legal tender release by Australia, the obverse displays the Jody Clark effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II within a decoratively framed circular inset. Inscriptions encircling the inside rim include, "ELIZABETH II . AUSTRALIA . 2022 . 5 DOLLARS." Encircling the outer rim are images of the 12 animals that comprise the Chinese lunar calendar.
