Licensed by Lucasfilm, this 2018 Silver 1 oz Niue Darth Vader Lightsaber coin is going to astound you. Following the same theme of the release, which also featured Vader, this time the stakes are much higher!

No Mere Man!

Darth Vader. What is the first image that enters your mind when you hear that name? Perhaps the helmet? It is one of the most iconic and menacing headgears ever imagined, its brilliant luster is composed of the blackest of all blacks. And its face-covering appears to be formed to conceal something far more than the face of a mere man. Or, is it his entire garb that comes to mind? Vader is completely enveloped within rich, black leather, protected by the breastplate, and draped in a full-length, flowing cape. His stance assumes a command over whatever might dare to oppose him.

Regardless of what strikes you the most, the overall picture is nothing short of terrifying. Add to this his deep, mechanical voice and labored breathing and the experience of having first watched him enter the scene will never be forgotten. Darth Vader is a creation that stands alone in the entire Star Wars universe. The design of this coin is amazing! The reverse is reminiscent of the 2017 Silver 1 oz Niue Darth Vader inaugural Niue release of the Lucasfilm Star Wars coin series. This new 2018 release features a masterful mix of satin matte finishes and brilliant polished highlights bringing to life the subject's primary focus. Darth Vader wields his lightsaber in all the dark power upon which he draws. The bright, polished finish is very prominent on the lightsaber and highlights Vader's image. The Imperial logo fills the background, which is superimposed on the right by the left-facing profile of Darth Vader. In his hand, his lightsaber flashes with a brilliant, polished finish that extends to the rim. Inscriptions at the lower left rim includes "1 oz . 999 Fine Silver" and the Lucasfilm Ltd copyright. The distinctive 4-star New Zealand Mint mark is also displayed.
