This stunning new release by Perth Mint, in collaboration with former US Mint Chief Engraver, John Mercanti, is spectacular. The Wedge-Tailed Eagle series first launched with the 2014 release and was received with universal acclaim. Each new design that has released since has only increased the series popularity. This 2021 1oz Silver Australia Wedge-Tailed Eagle release is the sixth unique design to be released and it is truly stunning!
As a legal tender release by Australia, the obverse displays 6th generation effigy of Queen Elizabeth II to be displayed on Australian coins, produced by Jody Clark. Inscriptions within the wide rim-band include "ELIZABETH II . AUSTRALIA . 1 DOLLAR."
The reverse features a large, close-up action scene of a Wedged-Tailed Eagle, the largest bird of prey found in Australia. With wings spread wide in flight, this magnificent creature grasps its prey in both talons. The large snake is helpless as the eagle, as the victor, exerts complete control. The eagle fixes its piercing eyes directly into the snake's eyes. There is no doubt how this encounter will end! Inscriptions within the narrow rim-band include, "AUSTRALIAN WEDGED-TAILED EAGLE . 2021 1 oz 9999 SILVER." The Perth P mintmark is displayed at the left rim.
This striking, limited mintage 2021 1oz Silver Australia Wedge-Tailed Eagle coin is the 6th release of the series and is absolutely a Must-Have!
