Introducing the 2018 Silver 1 oz Marvel Comic's Tuvalu THOR, son of Odin - King of Asgard. THOR's turbulent history of betrayal, desertion, exile, and redemption, was masterfully adopted into Marvel Comic's storyline.

This 2018 Perth Mint release of Marvel's Tuvalu THOR thunders on the scene with an astonishingly bold design. Filling the reverse field is THOR's powerful straight-on profile, helmeted and in full body armor. His right arm is raised with a readied clenched fist. His left hand grasps Mjölnir, one of the most powerful weapons ever wielded on Asgard or Earth. His muscular torso reveals the raw strength THOR commands; his face is set like flint, determined to obliterate his evil foe. His golden locks fall below his winged-helmet, down to his broad shoulders. His flowing cape drapes behind.

The mix of matte and bright finish provide depth of view, and a shadowing effect. In the background forks bright flashes of lightning. Inscriptions include the Marvel logo at the top, and "THOR." boldly accents the design, partially superimposing the helmet and Mjölnir.

The obverse common to the series displays Ian Rank-Broadley's right-facing profile of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. Inscriptions include "QUEEN ELIZABETH II - TUVALU", the weight, 9999 purity, release date, and face value.
