From the mint: One of the most enduring images of this gold rush and the many other gold rushes is that of the steel pans used for panning for gold. Framed by a gold-plated rim, the reverse features the iconic image of a pan submerged in water, recreating the experience of a prospector finding a gold nugget in his pan. These engraved nuggets are gold-plated, adding more depth and authenticity to the image. Inscribed at the top of the coin is "CANADA," while "KLONDIKE 1896-2021" is inscribed along the bottom.

The obverse features a face value of "25 DOLLARS" and the effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II by Susanna Blunt.
