St Helena - Angel Stands Guard

As a legal tender offering by St. Helena, the obverse displays the stunning effigy of Queen Elizabeth II created by Raphael Maklouf. Inscriptions include, "£1 . ST. HELENA . QUEEN ELIZABETH II . 2021 . THE EAST INDIA COMPANY." A distinctive beaded pattern encircles the rim, with an attractive pattern filling the background of the effigy of Queen Elizabeth II.

Featured on the reverse is a beautifully striking angel standing guard over the gravestone where Bonaparte was originally buried at St. Helena. (His body was returned to Paris years later and interned at Les Invalides). Both the image of the angel Inscriptions encircling the rimband include, "ONE OUNCE . ANGEL . 999 SILVER."
