2021 1 oz American Palladium Eagle BU

The American Palladium Eagle is one of the most popular Palladium bullion coins in the world! The U.S. Mint American Eagle coin series began in 1986 with the release of its gold and silver bullion and BU Eagle coins. Since then, the Mint has added platinum and, most recently, palladium versions to the American Eagle suit of coins. The platinum bullion and proof coins were introduced in 1997, while the palladium coins were introduced only a few years ago – in 2017 as a bullion version and 2018 as an investment-grade version.

  • 2021 1 oz American Palladium Eagle BU.

A Fresh Perspective

This beautifully stunning coin was globally received with high praise upon its inaugural 2017 release. The coin's value is recognized not only for its stability even in unstable times, but also for its beauty. Of course, that beauty is even more appreciated when you closely consider the history and story the design represents.

2021 1 oz American Palladium Eagle features a classic design with modern minting techniques to produce a coin that is both aesthetically pleasing and memorable. The 2021 Palladium American Eagle was subject to mintage and product limits of 12,000 coins and a household order limit of one. This year’s Palladium Eagle coin was struck to meet the same specifications as its preceding investment-grade counterparts. The coin is legal tender and has a $25 face value and is comprised of 1.0005 troy ounces of 99.95% fine palladium. As in years past, the coin has reeded edges and features the “W” mintmark, indicating production at the West Point Mint in New York.

Winged Liberty Flies Again

The obverse of this design features a high-relief likeness of "Winged Liberty" from the "1916 Mercury Dime" obverse designed by world-renowned designer Adolph A. Weinman. In keeping with the original coin design, inscriptions are "LIBERTY," "IN GOD WE TRUST," "2021," and Weinman’s distinct initials as an artist mark.

The Eagle - Magnificent & Powerful

The reverse design features a high-relief version of the 1907 American Institute of Architects Gold Medal reverse, also by Weinman, which includes an eagle and a branch. Inscriptions are "The UNITED STATES of AMERICA," "$25," "1 OZ. Pd (the chemical symbol for palladium) .9995 FINE," and "E PLURIBUS UNUM."
