Again, the mint describes the detail and history of this magical and mystical city, believed to be in the inaccessible regions of the Himalayas:

"The reverse of the coin depicts a Hindu woman with the mystical Shambala above her. Shambhala is the capital of the underground kingdom of Agarthi. No one knows where this land lies, but it is suspected that it can be found in the inaccessible regions of the Himalayas. The top of the reverse depicts the symbol of the crown chakra, which has been plated in pure gold. The bottom of the coin is decorated with selective UV printing, which makes water appear to pour out of the coin.

On the obverse of the coin features the Ian Rank-Bradley depiction of Queen Elizabeth II, surrounded by beautiful lotus flowers, which symbolize harmony and spiritual enlightenment. Inscriptions are "NIUE . ELIZABETH II . FIVE DOLLARS . Ag 999 . 2022."
