As a legal tender offering of Perth, the obverse displays the 6th generation effigy of Queen Elizabeth II to be displayed on Australian coins. The new portrait is based on that designed by Jody Clark of the Royal Mint in 2016. It is distinctively different, however, in that it displays the Queen's shoulders and full neckline. This is a very lovely and graceful pose. The band at the rim has the inscriptions "ELIZABETH II AUSTRALIA" at the top, and "15 DOLLARS" at the bottom.

The reverse of this 2023 Gold Perth Gold Kookaburra 1/10 oz BU coin portrays two kookaburras relaxing on a pair of tree branches. Inscriptions: "KOOKABURRA" at the top rim, and "2023 1/10 oz 9999 GOLD." The Perth P mintmark is within the lower right rim band.
