2023 Lunar Year of the Rabbit

Each year since 1995, The Perth Mint has proudly offered a distinctive new design celebrating the current year's animal that represents one of the 12 animals of the ancient Chinese lunar calendar. For 2023, we celebrate the fourth animal in the 12-year cycle of the Chinese zodiac, the Year of the Rabbit.

As noted by the mint, "Those born under the sign of the Chinese lunar tiger in 2023, 2011, 1999, 1987, 1975, and each 12th preceding year are said to be intelligent, creative, vigilant, and compassionate."
