The coin's reverse features the familiar Maple Leaf that has adorned thousands of previous maple leaf coins, but this edition has two extra security features. A globe-cradling hand represents the single-sourced extraction, with its focus on environmental responsibility and enriching the lives of the citizens who live near and work at the mine. Inscriptions are "CANADA . 9999 (on either side of the maple leaf) . FINE GOLD . 1 OZ OR PUR."
