The Crowned Lion of Judah Roars

The obverse features a highly detailed image of a crowned head of a lion with his full attention on you. His mouth is open wide, issuing a bold roar of authority over his realm. His handsome mane falling in curls around his face slightly softens his fierceness. Upon his brow rests his crown. However, this is not just any crown. Displayed on the band of the crown are the inscriptions, "SEND OUT YOUR LIGHT AND YOUR TRUTH." The Hebrew letters (Aleph - Tav) emblazoned on its crest reveal him as the Lion of Judah. We leave you to consider the significance of this. Surrounding the lion is a beautiful floral pattern that serves as a regal garland. Inscriptions at the bottom rim include, "ONE TROY OUNCE .9999 FINE SILVER."

The obverse is a new design this year, and it features the Public Seal of Niue. Inscriptions are "TWO DOLLARS . 2023."
