In this design, Britannia holds a staple trident in one hand and a shield with an olive branch in the other. She also wields a Corinthian helmet standing on the shores of Great Britain, ready to protect it. The ground that Britannia stands on bears the designer's name, “NATHAN.” A thin rim encircling Britannia's portrayal reads, “DECUS ET TUTAMEN,” which stands for ‘An Ornament and a Safeguard.’ The effigy and thin rim surround the outer rim that displays “BRITANNIA. 2023. 1 OZ. 999 FINE SILVER.”
