The Story of the Great SS Tilawa!

The SS Tilawa was a steam propulsion ship created in 1942 during the World War and British Colonization. With a capacity of around 4,039 passengers, it was also referred to as the “Indian Titanic.” Along with passengers, the ship transported 2,391 silver bars and 281 crew members and passengers. On a tragic night in 1942, the SS Tilawa was directly hit by two Japanese torpedoes and immediately sank into the abyss of the Indian Ocean.
