Following the brilliant 2015 introduction of the Fiji Iguana series, this second annual release features the Crested Iguana. Minted in .999 fine silver BU proof-like finish. The extremely fine detail on the iguana's body displays a truly stunning effect! This 2016 Silver 1 oz Fiji Crested Iguana coin will certainly be a fine addition to your collection.

The Crested Iguana is shown tightly hugging a nimble, leafy branch. The species is home to certain forests located in the Fiji Islands, making them an appropriate subject to feature on Fiji coinage. This beautiful lizard is known to grow as large as 30 inches long. Interestingly, its favorite diet is hibiscus flowers, and is predominately herbivorous.

The reverse features this interesting creature in the stunning brilliance of highly detailed .999 silver bullion. Inscriptions include the series title, "FIJI IGUANA" at the top rim, and the year, weight, and fineness at the bottom. Just under the featured iguana is the creature's common name, "FIJIAN CRESTED IGUANA."

The obverse displays a large Fuji Coat of Arms, centered in the field, with the background finish lightly-brushed. Encircling the rim is a nicely ornate border design, with "FIJI - 2017," inscribe at the top, and the face value at the bottom.
