The King of Beasts

As a legal tender offering of Great Britain, the obverse design for the series features Jody Clark's distinctive effigy of Queen Elizabeth II. Encircling the image at the rim are the inscriptions, "ELIZABETH II . D . G . REG . F . D . 5 POUNDS."

The reverse features a fine action scene of a stunningly detailed tiger. The tiger is shown stalking forward with its eyes fixed on the viewer. A rocky terrain is displayed in the background. Inscriptions at the top rim include, "YEAR OF THE TIGER . 2022. The Chinese character for "TIGER" is positioned at the lower right rim.

Shengxiào (Lunar) - Year of the Tiger 2022

As introduced by The Royal Mint,
