"This pure silver coin features a depiction of the Goddess Europa riding a horned white bull. The Goddess Europa belongs to Greek mythology and her tale inspired the naming of the European continent. Europa was the beautiful daughter of a Phoenician king with her beauty attracting the affection of the Greek pantheon god Zeus. To avoid his wife’s jealousy, Zeus transformed into a white bull, abducted Europa, and swam from Phoenicia to the island of Crete."
