As humanity has advanced over the millennia, so also it has been increasingly enlightened through the development and spreading of metallurgy across the globe. The design features a scene reminiscent of the beginnings of democracy. In the background is a gathering of scholars and philosophers among ancient Greek buildings with an Acropolis rendition on the right. The center features a Greek column with "δημοκρατια" ('democracy' in Greek) inscribed on it. An eye is in the center surrounded by an ornate Greek-style decoration. Other inscriptions are "VIVAT HUMANITAS" AND 1 OZ 9999 FINE GOLD."
