Above the effigy is the motto of the US, “E PLURIBUS UNUM” which translates to ‘Out of many, One’ and below the portrayal is the year “1900”. This obverse design is completed by 13 encircling the effigy.

The reverse of the 1900-O Morgan Silver Dollar displays the heraldic eagle in the center with outstretched wings that slightly touch the inner edge of the coin. The eagle holds an olive branch and a bundle of arrows, both symbolizing the contrast of peace and war. Two wreaths below it hold together the eagle. The inscriptions include “UNITED STATES OF AMERICA ONE DOLLAR” and the motto “In God we trust” above the eagle. The mint mark “O” denoting the New Orleans facility of the US Mint, is also inscribed below the wreaths.
