This stunning silver coin was introduced to the world in 1878 and minted until 1904, partially in 1921. The sheer beauty and elegance of the Morgan dollar are highly regarded and appreciated in the precious metals industry.
The obverse side of the Morgan Silver Dollar bears George T. Morgan’s depiction of Lady Liberty which was modeled by Anna Willess Williams. The design is highly regarded among investors and collectors as one of the most beautiful in American coinage history. The inscriptions surrounding the effigy are “E PLURIBUS UNUM” and 13 stars representing the initial 13 colonies of the US.
The reverse bears the heraldic eagle seen with its wings outstretched and clenching to a bundle of arrows and an olive branch in its talons. This design is encircled by the inscriptions “UNITED STATES OF AMERICA. ONE DOLLAR” and the US motto “IN GOD WE TRUST.”
