The inscriptions surrounding the seal, which read "EASTERN CARIBBEAN CENTRAL BANK. 1 OZ .999 GOLD. TEN DOLLARS," showed the coin's purity, weight, and face value.

The reverse bears the worldwide famous Rum Runners ship at the shore, known for aiding pirates in smuggling rum. The rum runner ship is depicted below the inscriptions of the Caribbean islands, “ANTIGUA & BARBUDA,” and the year of issue, “2023.” The pirate is also shown standing proudly and confidently on the beach, surrounded by rum barrels.
