Included are Antigua & Barbuda, Anguilla, Commonwealth of Dominica, Grenada, Montserrat, Saint Kitts & Nevis, Saint Lucia, and Saint Vincent & The Grenadines. The fourth new edition to release is this remarkable 2020 1oz Silver St. Kitts & Nevis - Brimstone Hill BU.
Each of the 2018 and 2019 8-coin editions quickly became best-sellers, and maintained strong series popularity throughout the full release cycle. Now, with this 4th 2020 release, the series has arrived at the half-way mark! BOLD is continuing to experience high demand, both during presale offerings and the live releases.
The highly attractive obverse is common to the series. The inset features the Raphael Maklouf effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. Distinctive laurels of evergreen shrubs frame the portrait on either side, nearly filling the center inset. A narrow band encircles the rim, which includes the inscriptions, "EASTERN CARIBBEAN CENTRAL BANK. 1 oz .999 SILVER . QUEEN ELIZABETH II . TWO DOLLARS."
The reverse features a detailed active scene depicting the famous Siege of Brimstone Hill. As noted by the mint,
The 2020 ECCB St. Kitts & Nevis coin depicts the Siege of Brimstone Hill, the largest fortress ever built in the Caribbean. The Coin depicts the French Soldiers storming the shores of Saint Kitts in 1782 during the American Revolutionary War. Even though the British were heavily outnumbered by nearly 3 times, they lasted a month before they surrendered.
About a year later, the Treaty of Paris restored Saint Kitts and adjacent Nevis to British rule. This fortress is now a UNESCO World Heritage site and a very popular tourist destination that makes this island nation one to visit.
