The series features stunning bullion offerings from the eight Eastern Caribbean Island nation members. Included are Antigua & Barbuda, Anguilla, Commonwealth of Dominica, Grenada, Montserrat, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Saint Lucia, and Saint Vincent and the Grenadines.

Blue-Girdled Angelfish

This new 2021 Montserrat edition of the ECCB EC8 series celebrates the beauty of the blue-girdled angelfish. The celebration also recognizes that this particular species has been identified to be a vulnerable species.

The highly attractive obverse is common to the series. The inset features the Raphael Maklouf effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. Distinctive laurels of evergreen shrubs frame the portrait on either side, nearly filling the center inset. A narrow band encircles the rim, which includes the inscriptions, "EASTERN CARIBBEAN CENTRAL BANK. 1 oz .999 SILVER . QUEEN ELIZABETH II . TWO DOLLARS."

The reverse depicts the Montserrat Blue-Girdled Angelfish, a vulnerable species of Blue-Girdled Angelfish endemic to this eastern Caribbean island. In stunning detail, the Angelfish is shown in the beautiful Caribbean Sea. Inscriptions are: "MONTSERRAT" at the top rim, and "MONTSERRAT" and "2021" below it.
