Series II features the same five animals as the first series, the African Elephant, Lion, Rhino, Leopard and the Buffalo. We are really looking forward to the inaugural Series II releases, including this 2021 Big Five II Elephant & Krugerrand Privy Silver Proof 2-Coin Set.

The original series was extremely popular worldwide. Each of the designs were very striking and the unique aspect of the reverse design when two coins are placed side-by-side is quite intriguing. Also, the production was consistently top of line!

Originally, Big Five was associated with the five most difficult and dangerous animals to hunt on foot. The term is now used to describe the five African animals that are considered must-see, each highly impressive and magnificent. Tourists fortunate enough to view them in their natural habitat report that it is one of their fondest memories of visiting the continent. Sadly, these five animals are endangered. However, it is hoped that this series of bullion coins will help bring greater attention to their plight.
