Ms. Laimutė Varkalaitė, the artist behind the series, has shared the concept behind the 'Pastel Circus'. According to her, the circus is characterized by lightness, soft colors, and a sense of acceleration and flying. However, despite its delicate appearance, it is incredibly robust, as the urge to soar is unstoppable. The artist aims to depict how our inner state becomes visible and our aspirations transform into actuality, represented by the ever-changing Clown, signifying the soul's flight. She has used graphic jewelry to portray a lively sense of energy and wants the audience to experience it.

The audience's favorite Clown is challenging to identify on the reverse of the fourth coin, "Becoming", as the performer's elegant body has changed and is no longer what it was. His suit's hypnotic patterns have been turned into abstract blue and yellow patterns that mimic the hues of the sky and entice with their twisted movements. The red-nosed clown's smile is visible in the glittering details; it is serene, dreamy, and brimming with a sense of abundance. The illustrator explains this character's inner state: "My arms have become wings, and I'm already in the air!". I am a light bird who is also incredibly strong and self-assured.
