The Valcambi refinery is widely renowned as the only Swiss refinery famed for its outstanding craftsmanship. The bottom left of the bar is the unique serial number for each combibar.

The inscriptions on each bar include the refinery logo, “1 g platinum 999,5” and the hallmark assayer mark. The assay certificate on the reverse depicts the weight and purity along with the directions depicting the process of breaking down the CombiBar into individual 1 gram bars.
Valcambi was founded from the interest of a private Swiss investor’s group in the precious metals business for over 50 years. The refinery is currently fully owned by Global Gold Refineries Ltd. (GGR) based out of Switzerland, since the previous owner, European Gold Refineries Holding SA, was absorbed by GGR.
