Royal Canadian Mint, these gold coins are considered the official gold coins of Canada. The Canadian Maple Leaf coins enjoy the reputation of being the first .9999 pure gold coins in the world. When these coins were first minted in 1979, they contained .999 fine gold. Later, the Royal Canadian Mint increased its purity to .9999 fine gold in 1982.
The obverse of the 2025 Maple coins bears King Charles III effigy in a left profile, and the reverse features the country’s iconic symbol, Maple Leaf, with radial lines and essential inscriptions.
They are legal tender and IRA eligible. The Mint struck Maple coins annually with new dates, like the 2025 Canadian Maple Leaf Gold coins, which also come in various weights,
