Produced by U.S. based Scottsdale Mint, in cooperation with the government of Ghana, the African Leopard series became an immediate favorite with the inaugural 2017 release. The 2018 edition was a quick, one-day sell-out at the mint. This new 2019 edition is once again designed with impeccable craftsmanship. With proof-like finish, the brilliance is stunning, and displays the intricate detail perfectly.

The obverse displays a right-facing profile of Queen Elizabeth II, uniquely presented against a leopard-print background. Encircling the rim are the inscriptions, "ELIZABETH II . 2019 . FIVE CEDIS . REPUBLIC OF GHANA."

The reverse features an intriguing scene of a right-facing head and neck profile of this beautifully sleek big cat rising up from the African continent. The leopard's eyes are clear as it scans the surroundings. The detail is evident, even down to the whiskers! The background displays various swirling patterns, creating an active scene that frames the leopard's profile very nicely. Inscriptions include "AFRICAN LEOPARD" at the top rim, and "1 OUNCE . 999 SILVER" at the bottom. This is a very attractive design that provides a nicely detailed close-up of the leopard's face.
