The design displays a close view of this silverback gorilla's head, which fills the coin's reverse field. The large image provides the opportunity to study the beast's face, fully framed by fur, which is in full-color display. The expression on his face, gives the impression that he is standing alert. The background is sparse, but gives hint of the jungle that is his home. The coin's rim is encircled by attractive markings.
