Explore the heavenly mystery and human drama world with the "Poseidon" limited-edition collectible 2023 2 oz Niue Poseidon antiqued colorized silver coin at BOLD, which goes well with the "Goddesses and Gods" series. Discover the meaning behind the powerful Greek sea god's symbols and discover his mysteries! Mr. Kakhaber Topchishvili, a Kartvelian artist, created the design. This antiqued finished coin with selective color and gold gilding is part of the collectible Gods and Goddesses series.
On the collectible coin, the gifted Kartvelian artist Mr. Kakhaber Topchishvili has captured "Poseidon", the fierce Greek god, in all his might, considering all these legends and myths. There is some gold leafing on the other side of the high relief. The sea god's crown, trident, and other jewelry items shine. It is hard to determine where the hair stops, and the water starts because the beard flows in seemingly endless waves. Poseidon's beard is tangled with marine life, including a seahorse, an octopus, and a starfish. The coat of arms of Niue is located in the center of the obverse side. Below, the island's motto, "atua Niue tukulagi," is inscribed above two crossed katoua cleaving clubs, which represent Niue.
Like an artist designing a tapestry, Poseidon ruled the vast sea when he wasn't engaged in combat with the Olympians. He created new islands, tumultuous currents, and dangerous depths. Additionally, he led sailors on perilous journeys, calming the waves when pleased or igniting a frenzy of drownings and shipwrecks when he was offended.
The sea god's recognizable trident, representing his dominion, stood for his power. The first prong represented his ability to control the raging waters and call forth and subdue chaos. The second prong represented his power over the solid earth, allowing him to control coastlines and cause earthquakes. The third prong depicted his link to the sky above and demonstrated his capacity to manage meteorological occurrences like storms and deluges of rain. In addition to its apparent symbolic meaning, the Trident represented Poseidon's authority, unpredictable nature, and the harmony between chaos and order.
